I would love to answer your question for you, after all you answered my
question, and very promptly at that, I appreciated that, thank you.
1. Yes, I know who Duane "Dog" Chapman is.
2. I have seen his show about 2 times, and that was 2 times too many for me.
3. What do I think of him? I have a few opinions about him, mind you they
are just MY opinions, I'm sure there are people out there who just love him,
I am not one of those people however.First of all I think he's a little to
full of himself, secondly, I really don't like the way he treats people he
is apprehending. True, they are criminals, but they are still people, some
who have just made honest mistakes, we all make mistakes and I don't think
anybody should be judged for them. I read in your website somwhere that you
said you treated your suspects with respect, I think that is how it should
be done. A smile and a kind word will go a whole lot further than, degrading
somebody or being generally too rough with them.
4. It hasn't given me anything negative to see about the profession. There
is a bad apple in every barrell so to speak, you have to overlook them. I
have seen shows about bounty hunting, Barb Wire was one of those shows, like
I said earlier, we all make mistakes. That is the worst but probably the
most common picture painted to people about boutny hunting, and from all the
reading I've been doing on it, it's totally off the mark. I'm even more
interested now in getting into the business than I was before, actually I've
pretty much made up my mind it's what I really want to do.
With that said, I hope you wouldn't mind if I asked you another question.
I'm in Tennessee and have read up on some of the requierments for fugitive
recovery agents. It states that you cannot have a felony record, as far as I
know I don't but let me ask this anyways to be sure. I have had a DUI and a
Public Drunk issued to me in 2000. Will they affect me getting into this
business? And by the way I did learn my lesson and decided to give up
drinking altogether, but, you can't erase your past. Like I said, we all
make mistakes, the big diffrence is whether or not you learned from it.
Thank you for your time, and by the way I just love your site, I think it's
the most informative one I have been to, and I give you kudos for being
straight up with your answers. Thanks again for your time.
Amanda
